'87 Countach evoluzione concept

  1. It'd be interesting to know what's going on here. Looks like they chiseled a bit of the front corners and added the spoiler to the rear engine cover. The high ride height makes me wonder if they're trying to sort out a better US one that didn't need the hideous bumpers. Could have done with some at the back though - somebody's reversed it into a wall!

  2. This a concept developped under the direction of Horacio Pagani. The original steel spaceframe was replaced by a chassis/body construction in composite materials. Various bodyparts were also made of light weight composite. The final weight was 980Kg, 500Kg less than the QV.

  3. Ah, thanks for that - that's a big weight saving.

  5. A sesto elemento type approach in those days. As Flavien has already told the tubular chassis was replaced by carbon fiber and honeycomb structure which allowed to change 15 years of methodology of building.it reduced the need for constructing robust structure eliminating bulky points. Also all the black parts on the body were made with kevlar. So "total evolution" for the concept name and a technology demonstrator in that year same as this year in Paris as a vision.only the technology has improved.
